My Philosophy

I believe that feeling seen, supported & nurtured are some of the most important experiences in life, especially during the journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and the early postpartum months. That notion of grounded guidance & support is truly the pillar of my philosophy, having worked with families through many different birth paths. I know that preparation, birth & parenting is not “one size fits all” and my goal is always to serve and educate my clients, so they feel heard and supported through their journey.  I cherish the amazing privilege it is to support and empower new parents!

Credentials & Experience

Leah’s birth support education includes Labor Doula training through DONA (Doulas of North America) and ToLabor. She has supported clients who prepared for labor using Hypnobirthing, Birthing From Within curriculum, Bradley and Lamaze to name a few. She has taken advanced courses in fetal positioning, including Spinning Babies and Gilligan’s Guide training. She has attended 1,000 glorious births thus far.
   Since becoming a postpartum doula, Leah has supported hundreds of families bringing baby(ies) home. To more deeply support newly postpartum clients, Leah attended CAPPA’s Lactation Educator Certification Course.

   She participated in the Tranquil Transitions Placenta Encapsulation Training in August of 2013. 

Bodywork Credentials – 

•  received diploma from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2004
•  furthered certification by completing both Fundamental and Advanced courses in pre- and perinatal massage therapy in 2005
• earned her Certificate of Completion from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in Core Synchronism 
• Therapeutic cupping, including scar work in 2020
• Gua sha continuing education training in 2024
• Craniosacral Fascial Release Certification for Adults & Infants in 2025
